ISO 9001:2015 International Standard Updates and Changes

An update to the world's leading quality management system standard, ISO 9001, has been published (ISO 9001:2015). ISO standards are reviewed every five to seven years to determine if a revision is required to keep it current and relevant for the global marketplace. The last significant revision prior to 2015 was in 2008, hence the need to better understand and be aware of the latest changes to this standard.

Patrick E. Brooks

Patrick E. Brooks is a principal auditor for ABS Quality Evaluations (ABS QE), an ABS Group company, who is certified to conduct QS 9000 and ISO 9000 audits. Brooks has over 20 years of professional experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Project Management, Government and ISO 9000 Auditing and was previously a project manager for Bureau Veritas North America and Lincoln Manufacturing. He is an experienced leader with the knowledge and capabilities to strategically plan and implement large-scale initiatives in support of business and operational needs. Brooks has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel of the US Army Reserve. His credentials include PMP, IRCA Registered Lead Assessor and Certified (DOE) Lead Assessor certifications, and he is a member of the American Society for Quality Control.
