Cooperative Development of Reliability Based Maintenance – SMRP Solutions

What threatens mass transit asset reliability?

For enterprise asset management (EAM) consultants, a strong focus is put on the development of logical and efficient maintenance work control processes using a philosophy called reliability based maintenance (RBM). RBM is a prescriptive method of organizing and prioritizing assets, developing and optimizing maintenance strategies for those assets, and analyzing asset performance to ensure continuous improvement of the RBM process. This process is key to helping organizations, but it's important to understand its intent before attempting to implement its elements.

Read our insights on the process of RBM in the March/April issue of Solutions magazine published by the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP).
